Furzefield FUNderbolts Walking Netball team may not have been allowed to play netball, but that didn't stop them from walking and fundraising for Alzheimer's Research UK.

We started on the 7 July and would report back our individual mileage for the day and it soon became a fabulous way to keep fit and feel like we were a team again. The encouragement was brilliant, and we shared photos and chat about everyone's days. I can honestly say that it was a favourite part of lockdown.
WE DID IT!

Our team's aim was to walk a combined total of 500 miles by the end of July and we hit the target ahead of schedule, in fact we walked over 600 miles between us, and you can see the fun we had in varying weather.

Alzheimer's has effected many of our walking netball team's families, and we were grateful of the £760 donated to Alzheimer's Research UK (That's over £900 including gift aid).

Article from Kim Dorling, Walking Netballer and Host for this session.
