Hertfordshire is committed to ensuring netball is fair, equitable and accessible. As part of that commitment England Netball is working towards achieving the Equality Standard for Sport.

The first ever Equality Standard for Sport was launched in November 2004. It is "a framework for assisting sports organisations to widen access and reduce inequalities in sport and physical activity from under representative individuals, groups and communities, especially women and girls, ethnic minority groups and disabled people." The Standard provides assistance in the development of structures and processes, helps us to assess our performance and ensures continuous improvement.

Hertfordshire is fully committed to the principles of equality of opportunity and is responsible for ensuring that no job applicant, employee, volunteer or registered participant receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of age, gender, disability, race, language, ethnic origin, nationality, colour, parental or marital status, pregnancy, religious belief, class or social background, sexual preference, gender reassignment or political belief.
