The 2023 East Regional School finals were once again held at Stanborough School, Welwyn Garden City, on Saturday 28th January 2023. Despite the very chilly weather there was no shortage of excitement as the teams arrived.
As teachers, players and volunteers arrived to set up their base camps for the day, the girls from every team and age group took to court to warm up. The buzz for the day was already in place as the first whistle came to signal the start of the first round of games.
After a full day of excellent netball, it came to the semi-finals and finals with final positions as follows:
Under 19
Winners: Berkhamsted school
Runner up: The Perse School
Under 16
Winners: Brentwood School
Runner up: Presdales School
Under 14
Winners: St Albans High School
Runner up: St Cleres School
All East Winners and Runners up with go on to represent the East Region at the National Schools competition.
A special shout out to Berkhamsted, Presdales and St Albans who will be representing Herts at Nationals! Amazing work!!
We would like to congratulate all the teams that qualified for National Schools Finals 2023, which will be held on Saturday 11th (U19 & U16) and Sunday 12th March 2023 (U14) at Oundle School.
